Comprehensive Export Credit:

Failure to pay by private obligors.
Commercial coverage: failure to pay due to bankruptcy, insolvency and protracted default
Political coverage: failure to pay due to hostile actions by obligors' government which prohibits obligor from making payment. Includes currency inconvertibility, confiscation, expropriation, nationalization, civil unrest, etc.

Political Risk:
Failure to pay by government obligors (also currency inconvertibility). When the obligor is owned by a host government, the coverage responds for all non-payment reasons.


Investment Risk:
Confiscation Expropriation Nationalization (CEN) protects against hostile actions by the host government, which prevent the insured from exercising its lawful rights to their asset. May also include collateral deprivation.
