Failure to pay by private obligors.
• Commercial coverage: failure to pay due to bankruptcy, insolvency and protracted default
• Political coverage: failure to pay due to hostile actions by obligors' government which prohibits obligor from making payment. Includes currency inconvertibility, confiscation, expropriation, nationalization, civil unrest, etc. |

Political Risk:
• Failure to pay by government obligors (also currency inconvertibility). When the obligor is owned by a host government, the coverage responds for all non-payment reasons. |

Investment Risk:
• Confiscation Expropriation Nationalization (CEN) protects against hostile actions by the host government, which prevent the insured from exercising its lawful rights to their asset. May also include collateral deprivation. |
